Maling Street recieves planning

This week we recieved planning approval to convert and refurbishmenta series of old warehouse buildings on Maling Street into a cafe and restaurant.  The project invloves the reworking of the three buildings and will feature a new covered external terrace.  Reflecting on the industial past of the Ouseburn,  a series of unifying chimneys will conceal future kitchen vents and provide accesss to a the new terrace.  The building will be overhauled with a new roof and sliding shutters.  The development aims to support small, incremental change to the Ouseburn Valley and to offer premices to new and existing small businesses in the area. Work will begin on site later in 2017.
