Stage 1 – Newcastle University

Last week, James completed teaching a row housing project with Stage 1 students at the School of Architecture at Newcastle University. Working with the photographer Tara Stewart, they developed a brief for a family house and studio in responce to the requirements of Tara, her work as a photographer and her family.  The project was based next to the Cumberland Arms in the Ouseburn area of the City.  Students where asked to develop spatial and site responces to the live/work housing project as well as the post-industrial setting of this key area of the City.
